“Almost everyone who attended the session participated, making it one of the most lively user group meetings I have every attended.” (Brad M. McGehee)

Last Wednesday (24th of March) we hosted the SQLSocial user group in Cambridge. We had fantastic speakers and a great audience!

This is the first SQL Server event I have been to. It was really quite good and I was pleased I went.” (Anonymous)

We had a Sql Server functions performance presentation by Simon Sabin, followed by a short presentation from our sponsor Red Gate about SQL Source Control

The presentation was brief and to the point.” (Brad McGehee)

We then had half hour break, where all the attendees could enjoy some pizzas and drinks, socialize and do some networking. On this section was when people where giving their ideas for a later debate.

“...having the social time in the middle of the meeting helped to keep the meeting from getting dull” (Brad McGehee)

Then Brad M. McGehee, who had come all the way from Hawaii to Cambridge, honoured us with a very interesting presentation about SQL Server 2008 Data Collector.

“It was very useful to see the potential for SQL Server 2008 Data Collector and what you can achieve with it” (Anonymous)

Finally, we had a discussion about different subjects proposed by the audience, which almost everyone collaborated!

We’d like to thank everyone who participated and we look forward to seeing you on our next event!
